About Us
Your Child Is in Great Hands
The Therapy SP/OT Manifesto:
We believe in doing meaningful work, in making a difference through a foundation of inclusion, acceptance, kindness, compassion, and respect. We believe that nature is the ultimate healer and that connection comes first. We believe that each child, each parent, and each family comes to us with a story worth telling and something to teach us.
We believe in growth, and that we can't have growth without vulnerability, openness, and courage. We believe in sitting with discomfort and thinking outside the box to reach new heights. We believe in hope, and that hope opens the door for positive change and radical evolution.
We believe in the power of community, that "we all do better when we all do better." We believe in collaboration, partnership, and teamwork, in working together toward a common goal to better each others' lives for generations to come. We believe that everyone deserves a seat at the table.
We believe in YOU: the parent who comes to us with the example of unconditional love and undying commitment to your child; the teacher who sheds a light on a valuable perspective; the therapist who offers a fresh approach; the child who inspires us to step away from our computers and play. We believe that we all have a part to play and a responsibility to each other.
We believe in the power of the collective US.
Our Story
The Therapy SP/OT was founded by Anne and Alex in November 2018 in response to the closing of a valuable clinic in the heart of St. Paul's Highland Park community. We were- and are- committed to creating an environment that is positive and supportive for therapists and families alike.
Our mission statement, "come as you are and grow with us" reflects our foundational value of acceptance and inclusion, as well as our commitment to partnering with you to grow and learn together.
Giving Back
Birthdays are a great opportunity to celebrate life, but also a great time to remember that others are fighting for theirs. For each child's birthday, The Therapy SP/OT donates in their honor to the Pinky Swear Foundation, which supports families with children battling cancer.
